IMG_1161
Congratulations to the Educational Justice team! Educational Justice was awarded the 2013 Art of Vision Pyramid Award by the Center for Nonprofit Excellence.

Six recipients were culled from 48 nominations and we were one of them! The awards were broken down into the following categories: Art of Collaboration, Art of Diversity, Art of Governance, Art of Leadership, Art of Social Innovation, and Art of Vision (which we won!)

Moshe Ohayon and Sarah Schaffer represented Educational Justice at the 13th annual Nonprofit Awards Luncheon on October 2nd at the Kentucky International Convention Center where they received the award.

Educational Justice has helped many underserved high school students not only with test prep, but also with college and scholarship applications, academic tutoring, and study skills assistance. Three of our EJ Scholars have been Governor’s Scholars. and, two of them received scholarships to the University of Louisville. One of our EJ Scholars even raised her ACT score by 10 points!

Educational Justice is especially grateful to Mr. Gilbert, the Central High School teacher who nominated us for this award.
